What will it look like?

 When the vaccine is released and we're starting to recover, what will the world look like when we go back outside our front doors? So much has closed down. Neighborhoods (due to foreclosures) will empty out and eventually new people will move in. Businesses old and new are just barely hanging on.

We will still have to wear masks and keep our distance. It takes a huge percentage of the population being vaccinated for the virus to die out, so it's going to be a very long wait. I do think once a vaccine is proven safe and a few months pass that people who once SWORE they would never get a shot will get them, some however will dig in their heels. Even once we are vaccinated we can still carry the virus, so for the safety of others we'll still have to stay away from others. No birthday parties for at least the next year.

I have no idea what the timeline for all of this is, the start of the beginning of the end. Some say January, others say realistically March at the earliest of next year. For us we have a more pressing issue; Large wildfires are blanketing California so we are on lockdown AGAIN, but this time it's because the air is too dangerous to breathe. I told my husband as a partial warning " I think I am one disaster away from something breaking in my brain *Ping*...and I'll just lose it". I am holding on by my routine of disinfectig the house every night, finding new things to cook, and keeping informed. I am home almost always. I haven't talked to anyone outside our house in ages....I miss the outside world and the stress of worrying would probably be too much if just one more domino falls.

For now I wonder what world we will walk into when all this is over and pray the vaccine comes quickly. As soon as the wildfires clear we will be first in line for our flu vaccines, at least that is something I can count on.
